Mobile Friendliness is now an important factor in the Google Algorithm. April 21, 2015 is the deadline for your website to exhibit mobile friendliness for internet searches done from a mobile device. Google has hinted for a long time about mobile friendliness and is now making good on those hints. Google’s organic ranking of websites for the foreseeable future will now analyze whether or not your website exhibits mobile friendliness. This change by Google is relative and relevant. Pay attention to what they are asking you to do to your website. It will benefit you immensely. If you ignore this algorithm change it will hurt your website’s search ability. Your website needs to be mobile friendly whether Google wants it to be or not. It just makes good sense. The amount of internet searches made by tablets and phones is growing every month. Combined, mobile platforms account for 60% of the total digital media time spent. More than 70% of Social networkings activity is on mobile devices. The US National monthly average of mobile internet searches is approaching 40%. Why would you want 40% of your potential website visitors not to be able to view your website properly? It doesn’t make good business sense.

What Google has announced is that all websites exhibiting mobile friendliness will have preference over those that don’t.
