Outside the Box simply means unconventional in today’s marketplace. When you think, do you think unconventionally and different from most everyone else? That can be a very good thing to do. New ideas generally come from this type of thinking. If outside the box sounds weird, dangerous, or foreign, you are not alone.

Making square hamburgers instead of the more traditional round ones was a huge statement by Wendy’s. Apple ignored the operating system of Microsoft and developed one of their own. The Beatle’s wore longer hair than everyone else early in their career. These examples of Outside the Box marketing behavior have proven to be extraordinarily successful. There are hundreds of other fine examples as well! Some come in the form of invention, while others come in the form of doing simple things differently than others.
How many different swimming strokes can you think of? Free Style, Butterfly, Back Stroke, Side Stroke, Breast Stroke and others to name a few. All of these swimming strokes move the body through water; however, each one is different from the others. Each was clearly developed by thinking differently when they were developed.
